Let's focus on the basics!

In order to increase your sales, you could look at strategies that might increase the average amount of money that is spent by your customers each time they purchase from you.

You might perhaps look at strategies that encourage your customers to buy from you more often. Instead of once a year you might look at special offers or new products that encourage them to buy three or four times a year.

The third and most common level of thinking by business leaders is to concentrate on increasing the number of customers and achieving this by increasing the spend on advertising.

It is when you can implement strategies that increase two or three of these areas at the same time that you get an explosive multiplier effect.

All tools in the Think Tank collection have two forms. One tool contains a sample answer and the second is a blank form that is ready to be "filled in". Your coach has access to these and many other profit improvement forms, templates and tools.

How to use this coaching tool.

There are two diagrams below. The first diagram is a simple guideline of some of the answers or strategies that you might develop in this particular area. The second form is a blank template that you can use to fill in your answers. We have deliberately kept the information and explanations to a minimum to focus on the "how to" form. Your business coach can act as a mentor partner leading you through these profit improvement strategies.

You might consider some of the following:

  1. Updating your business plan and re-evaluating your direction.
  2. Conducting a one on one workshop with our coach and brainstorming in this area.
  3. Conducting a company brainstorming or workshop.
  4. Ask our coach to implement what you already know you should be doing.
